Why use an agent

What a licensed Medicare agent does for you

Medicare gives you choices, and every choice has trade-offs. A licensed, independent Medicare agent helps you compare those choices side by side, using your own doctors, prescriptions, budget and travel plans, and then helps you enroll in the plan you pick.

One licensed agent from our team works with you from the first call. We look up your doctors in each plan's network, price your prescriptions in each plan's drug list, and you decide with no pressure. After you enroll, we stay your agents: a confusing bill, a denied claim or a doctor leaving the network means you call us, not a call center.

Who we help

Wherever you are with Medicare, we can help

Most of our clients fit one of these situations. Many fit two.

Turning 65

You're getting your red, white and blue Medicare card and a mailbox full of offers. We walk you through Part A, Part B and your first plan choice, and make sure you don't miss the six-month window to buy a Supplement with no health questions.

Retiring from a job

Leaving employer coverage or COBRA? You usually have 8 months to sign up for Part B without a penalty after work coverage ends. We help you time it so there's no gap in coverage.

Unhappy with your current plan

Premium went up, a doctor left the network, or a prescription got more expensive? We compare your plan against the alternatives during the enrollment periods that apply to you.

Medicare and Medicaid

If you have both, you may qualify for a Dual Special Needs Plan or programs like Extra Help and Medicare Savings Programs that lower your costs. We check before we recommend anything.

Families helping a parent

Many calls start with a son or daughter. With your parent's permission, we're happy to include you.

Snowbirds and travelers

Spend part of the year out of state? We explain which coverage works where you travel.

Your options

Your Medicare options, explained simply

Everyone starts with Original Medicare from the federal government. The big decision is what you add to it, or what you replace it with.

Original Medicare: Part A and Part B

Part A is hospital insurance: inpatient stays, skilled nursing care and hospice. Part B is medical insurance: doctor visits, outpatient care, lab work and equipment. Original Medicare has no yearly out-of-pocket limit.

2026 Original Medicare costsAmount
Part B monthly premium (standard)$202.90
Part B yearly deductible$283
Part B coinsurance after deductible20%
Part A hospital deductible (per benefit period)$1,736
Part A premium$0 for most people

Medicare Supplement (Medigap)

A Supplement works alongside Original Medicare, pays most of the gaps, and lets you see any doctor in the U.S. who accepts Medicare, with no network.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

An Advantage plan replaces Original Medicare with a private plan approved by Medicare. Most include drug coverage and extras such as dental, vision and hearing, often with a low or $0 premium. You use a network and pay copays up to a yearly out-of-pocket maximum.

  • HMO: use the network and get referrals for specialists.
  • PPO: go out of network at a higher cost.
  • Special Needs Plans: D-SNPs for people with Medicare and Medicaid, C-SNPs for certain chronic conditions, and I-SNPs for people living in a nursing home.

How Medicare Advantage works.

Part D prescription drug coverage

Part D covers prescriptions, either as a stand-alone plan next to Original Medicare and a Supplement, or inside most Advantage plans. For 2027, the deductible can be up to $700 and your out-of-pocket drug costs are capped at $2,400 a year. Each plan has its own drug list and pharmacy prices. How Part D works.

Save money

Help paying for Medicare: Medicaid, Medicare Savings Programs and Extra Help

If your income and savings are limited, you may pay far less than the figures above. Florida Medicaid can cover costs Medicare doesn't, and people with both Medicare and Medicaid can often join a Dual Special Needs Plan. Medicare Savings Programs help with Part B premiums and more:

ProgramWhat it helps pay2026 monthly income limit (single)Resource limit (single)
QMBPart A and B premiums, deductibles, coinsurance$1,350$9,950
SLMBPart B premium$1,616$9,950
QIPart B premium$1,816$9,950

People in these programs also get Extra Help with prescription costs, paying no more than $12.65 per covered drug in 2026. We check whether you may qualify before recommending any plan. Source: Medicare.gov. Limits for couples are higher.

Medicare questions we hear every day

Does it cost anything to use a Medicare agent?

No. Insurance companies pay agents, and your premium is the same whether you enroll through an agent or directly with the company.

What's the difference between a Medicare broker and a Medicare agent?

People use the words interchangeably. What matters is whether the agent is independent and can compare plans from many companies, or captive and limited to one company's plans. We're independent.

Should I choose a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage?

It depends on your doctors, prescriptions, budget, health and travel. A Supplement gives predictable costs and any-doctor freedom for a monthly premium. Advantage often has a lower premium and extra benefits but uses a network and copays. We compare both for you.

When can I change my Medicare plan?

Most people can change Advantage and Part D plans during the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 to December 7, and people already in Advantage can switch once from January 1 to March 31.

Can you help if I already have a plan?

Yes. We review your current coverage against other options. If your plan is still the right fit, we'll tell you to keep it.

Do you meet in person?

Yes. We meet at home by appointment in Broward County, and help by phone or video anywhere in Florida, California and Texas.

Do you speak Haitian Creole?

Yes. We help clients in both English and Haitian Creole (Kreyòl).
